Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some questions potential window cleaning clients ask us:
Q: Do you do high rise window cleaning?
A: No, at this time we don’t clean high rise windows.
Q: How often should I have my windows cleaned?
A: That depends on you. What do you want from your window cleaning? Do you just want to keep them from getting really bad? A Deluxe or Premium window cleaning once a year may do. Do you want to enjoy clean windows more than just once a year? You could set up a twice-a-year maintenance window cleaning schedule. Do you want to enjoy clean windows throughout the year? Then you may want to arrange to have your main exterior windows cleaned every couple of months. We are here to provide the level of Clarity that suits you best, and we are happy to discuss your window cleaning options with you. You can read a fuller write-up about this subject here.
Q: What’s the best time of year to get my windows cleaned?
A: The short answer is, “Whenever you want them to be clean”. A good exterior window cleaning can stay looking great for about three months, on average (provided weather and/or insects don’t abuse the glass). Read a much fuller explanation of our observations about different seasons here.
Q: But you can’t clean windows in the winter, can you?
A: Yes, we can! Though there are some factors that may affect scheduling. See a more complete explanation here.
Q: Do you clean second floor windows?
A: Yes, we can clean up to the third floor windows on most residences.
Q: Do you do interior window cleaning?
A: Yes, we do clean both interior and exterior windows, screens, and tracks.
Q: Can you do just my interior windows or just my exterior windows?
A: Of course! We are at your service and can clean just one window or all of them, inside, outside, or both.
Q: Could you clean only the second floor windows for us?
A: Again, we are here to meet your needs. If you want only second or third floor windows cleaned, then we are happy to accommodate you.
Q: Do you clean storm windows?
A: Yes, we can remove and clean storm windows as long as they are in working order. If they are painted shut or degraded to the point where they don’t work, then we may be unable to do much with them. This is a rare case, however.
Q: Can you clean between the panes of those older style, removable Pella style double pane windows?
A: A good percentage of our jobs involve cleaning between removable double pane windows. As long as everything is in working order, we should be able to clean your windows inside and out and between the panes without issue.
Q: Do you remove paint from glass?
A: Yes. Our 8-step deluxe window cleaning process does remove paint. If you’ve been doing a home improvement project that includes painting eves, trim, gutters, window frames, or siding, it could be very beneficial to have a good quality window cleaning done. If there is an excessive amount of paint on the glass, our charge may need to be adjusted to compensate for the additional time needed to clean your windows to a crystal clear finish.
Q: Is it silly to clean my garage windows?
A: Not at all! Windows are meant to be clean and clear. And if the garage windows are visible to the public, it makes sense to include the garage windows in your whole-house window cleaning.
